About Us

Strachan Partners is recognized as one of the foremost commercial litigation practices in Nigeria. In 1991, a professional law practice was organized in the name of Strachan Partners at Strachan Street, Lagos Island, by leading counsels from leading practices across Nigeria.

Strachan Partners is now recognized as one of the foremost commercial litigation practices in Nigeria and is also an acknowledged leader in transactional work, particularly in telecommunications, energy and major land developments.

Principal areas of our work include Maritime and Aviation, Intellectual Property, and administrative law and we are engaged in the general practice of law across Nigeria.

Our strong track record covers advice to clients in connection with the formation, governance, management and general conduct of business by corporations. These clients include government bodies, with respect to privatization of state owned companies, as well as the purchasers of some of these entities. Our clients include foreign owned entities operating in Nigeria (including many new entrants) who are grappling with Nigerian Laws and seeking to traverse fiscal, business and labor regulations, arising from company restructuring and a variety of commercial agreements.
