Telecommunications
& ICT
The liberalization of Nigeria’s telecommunications industry began in 1992 and took off dramatically with auction of Mobile Cellular Licenses in 2000. We have been closely involved with major participants in this revolution and have acted for or against them in contested litigation involving interconnection and other regulatory interventions. We were part of the Federal Government committee which drafted the 2003 Telecommunications Law and fully appreciate the acute need for accurate advise and guidance on legal incidents in telecommunications.
Strachan Partners is among the elite band of
law firms in Nigeria that offer specialist
advice on this increasingly complex area of
law. We advise on contractual issues and
legislation relating to the information
technology and telecommunications industry
and undertake the drafting and negotiation
of agreements for the supply and maintenance
of information technology systems including
their licensing and distribution.
